Conferencia, muchas buenas personas, bodega

Hola Amigos!

Well this week we had a lot of business we had to work through in the zone. We had zone conference, and were able to recap the things that Elder Bednar taught us. The biggest things that stood out to me were the fact that we are all agents, and need to act and let others do the same. Also I´ve thought a lot about the idea of repentance to become better and more efficient rather than only to repent when you have committed sins.
President Nelson said:

"Nothing is more liberating, more ennobling, or more crucial to our individual progression than is a regular, daily focus on repentance."

I plan to make goals in order to work on this.

Also this week, we have been working with 3 people who are wonderful.

I have talked a little bit about all of them

First, Johana. She has received so many answers to her prayers in the Book of Mormon and after 3 weeks visiting her, she and her husband are reading in 1 Nephi 15. They only need help to get married and Johana will be ready to be baptized.

Next Narcissa. She is incredible. She was invited to church by a family that lives really far away. But comes to church regularly. Narcissa was really impressed with all of the things we do as church members, and loved the church when she came the first time. This week we talked about baptism in the church building and showed her the baptismal font. She said that by seeing and hearing about it she felt that it was true and we invited her to be baptized on the 29th of June.

Lastly, Pamela is the younger sister of the mother of the family that invited Narcissa to church. She also came to church last week because her sister invited her out to eat and instead took her to church. She really is interested and when we taught her this week, she made some comments about how she didn´t really want to get baptized, so we didn´t invite her yet, but at the end of the lesson, she said, In the pamphlet you gave me there is a part that talks about a baptismal date. I want to be baptized on my birthday, which is June 29th. We were surprised. Not only did she personally say that she wanted to be baptized, but her birthday is the same day that we picked for Narcissa. It will be a great day!

Lastly, this week we had to go to a place where they are storing mission supplies and organize it a little so that we can take all of the supplies out. There was a lot of dust and I probably sneezed a billion times, but we were able to get things a little nicer. We will probably have a big move soon.

Well that´s all. Sorry no fotos this week.

Elder Bednar, House remodeling, and more

Hola Amigos!

We had a super happy week. First of all, we got to see an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ in Person, and be instructed by him. He stressed the importance of being agents, and not objects. And how we need to change line upon line and precept upon precept. His councils were incredible.

We also started remodeling the house a little bit to have more light in our studies and more space to do excersizes. I´ll see if I can send a video of our house.

The ward is going to help us put together money so that the Caiza (Henry and Johana) family I talked about can be baptized. We hope to have it all ready so that Johana can be baptized in two weeks. We´ll see.

Also this week we had an incredible miracle. We were planning on meeting with someone who came to church on Wednesday morning in the church building. Problem was that we aren´t allowed to teach women when there isn´t another man present. We called in the morning but nobody was available. So with faith we went to the church to teach her. Narcissa showed up and we started to think about how to tell her we couldn´t visit her, but we heard someone knocking on the churches door. Outside there was a man, Jorge, selling garbage bags. We invited him to join us in the lesson as well and we were able to teach them both. It was incredible. The both of them want to learn more.

This Sunday we also met the sister of a recent convert who is looking for more direction in her live. We gave her the copy of the Book of Mormon and invited her to read it. Small moments like that aren´t super big miracles, but they help us remember what we are really doing as missionaries. Inviting people to come unto christ and become better. I love being a missionary

Well that is all for today. Nos vemos!
